Please help “Fuel the Flame” and submit your pledge by March 15, 2010, so we can keep our church a beacon which burns steadily— bright and clear in these challenging economic times.
We start this year's Budget Drive with excitement and celebration.
Thanks to your generosity we have accomplished much in the past several years: • An expanded, soaring music program including children's, youth and 9:15 service choirs • A more vibrant Youth program • A Social Justice trip to New Orleans planned for this summer • New Mission and Vision statements • Two new ordained ministers from our congregation serving the larger community • A five-fold increase in attendance at our early Sunday Celebration, and • A new settled Associate Minister • Paid our full fair share to our local district: Ohio-Meadville District
However, our work is not done. We still have dreams to: • Compensate our wonderful, hard-working staff at recommended market levels • Pay our full fair share to our national organization: Unitarian Universalist Association • Use the Holiday Appeal for outreach & social justice rather than the operating budget
To fully bring life to our new Mission and Vision and further increase church vitality, we are asking that each member consider increasing their pledge either: • to at least 5% of their adjusted gross annual income or • by 20% from their last year’s pledge
It is precisely because these are challenging times that we ask you to support our community in its: ~dedication to true hospitality, ~ reason and generosity, ~ the strength in our diversity, and ~ transforming justice
In April, there will also be a piano concert given by Nathan Hamm with a reception to follow to celebrate the success of the Annual Budget Drive.
