Worship – We begin the morning together in the Worship Center. After the Story, children enrolled in Sunday School leave for Sunday School class.
Clothing - For the younger ones, clothing should be comfortable, washable, and in the winter, warm enough. Our sessions are often active, messy, and outdoors. For older children and teens, dress is casual. Latest News - Usually our latest news is on the parents' blog: www.firstuuparents.blogspot.com.

* Family Room & Slowter Lounge in Worship Center There are two areas (a glassed in "family room" and Slowter Lounge) at the back of the Worship Center where families may hear the service without anxiety about children's inevitable noises.
Finding your way around. Most parents accompany their children in the third grade and younger to their classrooms and parents must pick up their children from the classroom immediately following service. This map of the Sunday School area will help you find your way. It begins at the atrium just past Fellowship Hall.
Child Visitor Form If you are visiting for the first time, please stop at the Sunday School Information Area to fill out a pink visitor form. From the front entrance, this is located down the hallway and to your right. Look for the bright yellow sign marked "Sunday School Information Area." You may also complete the Child Visitor Form on line so we can be prepared to make your child's first Sunday with us a calm, engaging and safe experience. Please do stop by the information table our volunteers can answer your questions about Sunday School.
Registration and Fees. There is no fee for our RE programs for children and youth but registration is required. After you have attended at least three times, please register in whatever way is most convenient. You may stop by the Information Area or complete your form on-line. On-line forms require that you stop by the Information Area to sign the forms as parents. Youth from sixth grade through high school must also sign their forms.
Preschool and Kindergarten. We recommend parents of preschool and kindergarten children who are new to us stay with their child for an initial Sunday School experience and get to know our programs. You are welcome to attend service with your child, using Slowter Lounge or the glassed in Family Room, prior to trying out Sunday School.
Toddlers and Infants. You are welcome to attend service with your child, using Slowter Lounge or the glassed in Family Room. Toddlers Care with a trained childcare provider is available in Room 1 from the start of the services. We have volunteers to help with nursery-aged little ones at the 11 am service. You may also use the nursery for caring for your child.
After the Service. After picking up your child, please stop by Slowter Lounge after the Service to learn more about our church in “Getting to Know UU.” We also invite you to join us for fellowship and beverages in Fellowship Hall.
Learning more. Our religious educator, Jolinda Stephens, is available to talk with you briefly on Sunday mornings. She would love to answer your questions in more detail at a time convenient to you. Please give her a call or send her an email to
